Michael Foley is the founder of Humble Wealth and a Financial Advisor with a deep focus on serving healthcare professionals. A native of Paradise Valley, Arizona, and the son of a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, Michael grew up witnessing the incredible demands placed on physicians—not only in their careers, but at home as parents. He also saw how little financial education was provided to doctors and how difficult it was for even the most accomplished professionals to find trustworthy financial guidance. That early exposure sparked a passion to come alongside medical professionals—helping them align their finances with what matters most.
Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and completed his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification through Northwestern. As he began working with physicians, Michael quickly saw a widespread need for specialized student loan guidance and pursued additional training to become a Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP®). He now serves as a national resource on the topic, contributing to Medical Economics, the CSLP Board, Midwestern Dental School, and the American College of Financial Services. From 2023 to 2025, Michael served as President of the Medical Division within Humble Wealth’s parent company, North Star Resource Group—a collective of advisors who focus on the financial needs of healthcare professionals. During that time, he also launched and now continues to lead North Star’s Student Loan Division, training advisors across the country in effective student loan advisement.
Michael is also a Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®), a designation that trains financial professionals to apply biblical wisdom to financial decision-making. He believes that the most reliable financial principles are rooted in Scripture and have stood the test of time—offering clarity and guidance regardless of a person’s beliefs. Whether or not clients share his faith, Michael finds that these values offer a strong foundation for making wise, lasting financial decisions and living with greater purpose and peace.
Michael is a proud Christian, husband to Lindsay, and father to two young boys, Daniel and Noah. He and his family live in Arizona with their Great Dane, Otis. Outside of work, they love spending time outdoors—whether hiking, rucking, or simply exploring together.
